Ideal Candidates

The ideal LEAP candidate is a student who has encountered challenges, but has a strong desire to be successful in and out of school and will benefit from an individualized and supported approach to learning. LEAP is offered as part of a continuum of education services provided by school districts. Learners who will be considered for LEAP:

  • Have completed at least 1 year of high school
  • Are over-aged and under-credited, relative to graduation requirements
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the learning model and a desire to fully participate in the program
  • Will benefit from personalized, student-centered learning that includes a significant focus on career readiness
  • Require a referral from their high school/district

Note: LEAP is open to all high school students in eastern Connecticut

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, year-round.

Classes are Monday-Thursday, from 8:00am to 3:20pm and Friday, from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
